Glossy Button Video Tutorial and PSD
14 12 2006Hey there everyone - I have been quite busy and havent had much time to be creative.. I hope no one suspected that I gave up my blog. Anyways, in this tutorial I will teach you how to create/design a nice sleek glossy button using PHOTOSHOP!! The final image will look something like this:

Why do I say “something like this” That is because in this tutorial I use a different font and dont do the gradient in the background. To view the video tutorial you can go by clicking here. And when you are done, feel free to go here and pick up the PSD with layers intact.
P.S. I have to say that I think the colors in the video came out a little too bright which was not my intention …sorry guys.
I hate the video tutorials. I liked it better when you went over them step by step.
The Grubesteak, I hear what you are saying
I plan on still doing step by step written
tuts also. Although you should know that
the quality of this video tutorial is much
higher than the last two…and much easier
to follow. I hope you all enjoy.
Feedback is good! Thanks
It actually has nothing to do with quality, but rather usability. I’ve bookmarked a couple of your tutorials for use at work, and refer to them often.
I’m trying to get to the point where I can use Photoshop without referring to a tutorial as much, but when I do need to, it’s nice to be able to take a quick look instead of having the video (which I can’t really sit and watch in my work environment anyway).
Great point.
Thanks
Have to say I’m not a big fan of those video tutorials either although I did see one on YouTube before which was quite good.
I love video tutorials. This one lost me as designer was like a Hammy from over the hedge, high on sugar or something… Jumping from button to button without explaining what is doing? Last time I was this high, wife made me lap water out of the backyard ditch. Slow down… Take time to explain well your moves if you can please. You are too smart.

Great! I’ve been wanting to learn this for a long time. The video is a nice touch. The a/v went out of sync somewhere past halfway. But it worked for me. Thumbs up.
